RE:$5B settlement with Brazil over tailings spill...  Its  ironic that the last post on this thread is complaining about the costs associated with tailings spills..  Today ,  less than 4 four months later we have yet another Brazilian tailings spill,  but this one looks to 100% attributable to VALE.

Its no wonder the mining industry has a terrible reputation within  society in general.
