RE:Directly under FDV at A Zone they hit bonanza grade, but ---Geodan2
The info you (and MikeyM) provided gave quite a lot more stuff for the understanding of the situation we have around the FDV..., at least, for my own understanding and speculation (for others to weigh in). Here are my observation, feel free to correct...
- The pyritic sediment layer is rather thick (~70m) in this view (looking west) than that in the artist conception (~2m, scaled using to the 7m distance...my estimate based on the significant Au-bearing results = ~6m) in the latest NR Figure 4 (looking north) where they shows hole AZ15-013 some 7m below the FDV floor. In my opinion, the thicker the sediment layer the better for the Au-bearing thermofluid to have a better chance to interact and puke out the Au and quartz (as evidenced by hole #13). Speculation: Drill hole AZ15-013 intersected bonaza grade of 119.37 over 6.4m. It would be interesting to line this against the floor the FDV to see if this high-grade core length would match what has been found in the "living room" above it. BTW, there was a picture of Kevin S standing in the living with the two large specimens (King Henry and Warren?) on the floor. Do you know if the specimens came from the floor, ot the fell down from the ceiling, after the blast?
- There are two side tunnels (almost vertical) connecting the AZ Decline to the main tunnel heading toward the label "15 level" on the left. One side tunnel is on the right (from AZ15-005 to AZ15-002). The other side tunnel is within the blue "life saver" for the FDV. Hole AZ15-16A is near the top of this connecting tunnel.
- There are additional results to be expected from the 9 holes for the vicinity, i.e. within the sediment layer (4 already drilled with results pending) and 5 to be drilled.
- What is the significance of the green layer (legend says "Resource Wireframe", does this mean the green zone is Au- barren, and we only need to pay attention to the blue zone (sediment)?
- Several weeks ago, there was a hand-drawn diagram for the FDV with respect to an access tunnel. I don't quite recall who was the author (GeoD or MikeyM???). This kind of picture is just great for the understanding of the situation, but unfortunately I could not locate it. BY any chance you have it somewhere with perhaps some update to reflect the current information?
Cheers,
Again, thanks for the good stuff.

And thanks to MikeyMike for pointing this out. All the nearby drill cores drilled next to (AZ15-013 bonanza hit) are not assayed yet. That is 28,29,32,33. And all are in sediment layer zone (bluish tint area). And if you click on it, it gets even higher res. And there are 5 more drill holes not yet drilled there.
There is only one other core below in sediment layer area that has been assayed that is AZ15-020 which is 4.02 Gram over 5.58 meters and it is further away than the other 9 holes. There are 4 done and unassayed and 5 holes to go closer to FDV that we do not know answer to except the AZ15-013 119 grams over 6.4 meters bonanza hit. So the area is much bigger that is still "open" for bonanza ore than thought on first read of Fig. We can easily have a bunch of bonanza grade hits of those 9, it is a matter of how lucky we get.
