If you are overseas I would suggest you look into taking a small stock certificate " home".
this allows you to buy/sell directly with the depository when you want (very poor liquidity) but also to split/sell shares to whoever you want,when you want.
a smart,and logical move for any company with a drip is to initiate a ncib. If there is is ever a surplus of cash or ideal conditions this will enable the company to buy back the dilution.
I mention large holders gaming the drip occasionally- look at history of nbz (before they went private) for a case study.
