Co-funded long hole WF14-98
Co-funded long hole WF14-98Just found this interesting old hole (NR July 6, 2016). RNX called it the 3rd major gold zone at Beta Hunt. It was co-funded by the Government of WA as part of the Exploration Incentive Scheme. Some key features/findings: - It a long hole, some 800m at a dip of about 30 deg in the E-W direction (sort of following the ultramafic/basalt interface and above the pyrictic sediment layer). Appears to be the longest hole compared to RNX own drilling. The current 40,000m program has an average length of ~125m/hole. - Intersected 2 lodes in a new shear zone, Fletcher which is offset by the Alpha Island Fault (AIF). high grades were at 6.5gpt and 7.4gpt. - Significant results are shown in Table 2 from the Western Flanks to the Fletcher, including high-grades up to 26 gpt. These "old" results would contribute to the overall understanding of the potential resource at Beta Hunt. There are other potential targets (in addition to Fletcher and south of the AIF) to explore, but it would appear that RNX is going after the area around FDV to pick the low-hanging fruit first, due to the proximity of the bonanza grade finds (e.g. 7m below the "living room", Fig 4, Jan 22 2019 NR) and the existing infrastructure (some 45m from the WFN Decline, Figure 5, Jan 22, 2019 NR).
