RE:RE:RE:ProductionNew Day,
In general, Carbide makes a lot of good points. He’s clearly been around exploration for awhile. In the particular case of IVN, there is lots of room for disagreement. Many of the posts presented here may be intended to support trade positions. Tell the truth, but tell it in a way that provides comfort or demoralizes shareholders, depending on the desired outcome. In the end it doesn’t matter. It’s just a discussion. Money moves stocks, not words.
For some reason IVN has always attracted passionate supporters and detractors. I remember when I first posted to IVN in 2005, I received my first six ignores. I went from zero to six in a week. In retrospect, I’m surprised it wasn’t higher. I told everyone the Mongolian government was going to squeeze the Company for more money. It was so obvious, at least to me. The screaming and yelling went on for days. I finally got bored and left. How many days can you argue that the government is out to rip off the Company?
In the end, the government seized 34% of the project, and everyone freaked out. They still ignored me. They would rather lose their money, than admit they were wrong. But it didn’t matter. They didn’t lose their money. Anyone who stuck around for five years could of easily sold it for $10 or $12. It hit a high of $29. The most important factor is that there are three great projects here. Political intrigue comes and goes, but the high quality of these properties will serve to anchor the Company. Can things go terribly wrong? Sure, but there is also plenty that can go right.
