RE:RE:48North kg/acre target seems conservative (another example)They've suggested 3.7M sq.ft. cultivation area (~85 acres, driveway, house, barn, roadside buffer occupy rest). So that's 37 sq.ft/plant =6x6 ft/plant assuming 400g each (can only assume). Indoors, I think most people will try to grow their 4 permitted plants under one light, in ~4 sq.ft/plant = 2x2 ft/plant area. My understanding is that outdoor plants can get MUCH larger than indoor though. Based on photos of other outdoor grows that co-CEOs have shared to twitter, instagram, etc., I'm guessing that plants may also be spaced for walking between - maybe in rows covered with mesh netting (a photo like that that was shared as an instagram story too - wish I had a screen capture. It looked like it could both protect from drones, and from wind, somewhat). 6x6 ft/plant still seems a bit excessive, but things tend to grow to fill their space, so maybe that's what they calculate will maximize yield. Also, again, based on target kg/acre outdoor yield targets of other LPs, they're being conservative relative to ALL that I've found so far. BTW, I really hope they're looking for volunteers to help harvest (like Ms.Gordon proposed to James West). I would love nothing more - and would even sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement - to volunteer during harvest. I hay-bailed for multiple farms every summer as a teen and love that sort of thing.
