RE:Lithium price: Spodumene is getting crushed

RE:Lithium price: Spodumene is getting crushedI try to follow LI pricing closely and while Benchmark is usually spot on, this report is VERY off the mark. GXY CEO TSE has acknowledged a dropping of SC6 prices but no where near the calamiy Benchmark wrote about. PLS CEO Brinsden says the same thing and AJM just reported 722 US /ton for SC6.

What is happening is China's brine operations are producing trash LI which few want to buy so the China spot prices are dropping. China is giving spot prices lots of publicity to encourage sellers to lower prices. Good quality LI is NOT dropping below $700 US/TON BUT China wants to get it there. $700US /TON is more than double  CRE's BFS cost of production per ton.  100% mark up is healthy in any business.

Lots of BS flying around on pricing so listen to earnings calls to get real world commentary.
