Cut Expenses ! !

Cut Expenses ! !I really can't disagree with the recent comments from "Mediawatcher " . I am a loss on why the most read newspaper in Canada can't make a decent profit . As a retiree , On a much smaller scale , I try to cut expenses all the time to be in line with my revenues . Let's start with the ridiculous sum paid to the company directors for allowing the revenue to be out of whack with expenses and for allowing a 30 dollar stock to trade in pennies . You can't tell me that there are not some newspapers around the world that are not profitable . That would make for a good Toronto Star first page article . Go out and find who they are and what they do . Are they in London , Sydney , Auckland or San Francisco ? Because on non voting shares , there is just no accountability with this management group . I gave up ages ago on getting my investment in Torstar back . It would be nice though to see it back over a dollar a share . I probably made an error yesterday buying some shares in Stelco , another company controlled by Prem Watsa of Fairfax . Some people never learn (Me ) , although I do have a vote with Stelco.
