RE:RE:RE:RE:Lithium Ion Battery, EV, Now and Future

RE:RE:RE:RE:Lithium Ion Battery, EV, Now and FutureSolid state batteries may enter commercial production from 2025.  Solid state batteries still use cathods containing cobalt such as NCM, NCA and LCO mainly. Others also try to use LNMO and LFP containing no cobalt, but with much lower energy density. The changes are mainly electrolyte and membrane, and possibly anode to lithium metal to increase energy density. For example, Toyoto's solid state batteries mainly uses NCA and LCO as cathods that contains cobalt.  It is also trying out LNMO.   The most promising combination for solid state batteries are NCM523, NCM622, NCM811 and NCA as cathods while lithium metal as anode as well as solid state electrolytes. Energy density of 350-400 Wh/kg is achieved in the lab currently.
