In the short run, the popularity of this stock determines it's price. I don't like the CEO, I don't like the acquisition, the board did this, that was a bad conference call, he seems like an idiot etc. etc.
In the long run, the numbers determine the price. P/E, FFO/Debt, EV/EBIDTA, P/S, P/B.
Altagas is ludicrously undervalued right now because the voters have voted against it in the past year, for a number of reasons. But in the end, the numbers always win.
