RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:MMS

RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:MMSLol I didn't know "scurrying" had a meaning in the trading world. What would you call this action today from the side of the shorties? Just a good day trading?

Go0B3r wrote: Lol, took me a second to try and understand your logic there. The people/firm holding a "short position" on fire are scurrying to get rid of their shares. The short term traders aren't in a hurry here and are combing for shares, and will take what ever is available at these levels before news hits Tuesday. I have never known a short cover where the price goes up in all my days of watching stocks lol...

shorts arent scurrying to get rid of shares. If they were, the price would be climbing. THis is people dumping. Probably warrant holders.

It'd be beneficial to understand how a short operates. They borrow the shares and then sell those shares into the bid. Pocket the money and wait to cover at a lower price. Thus, undermining the stock. It eats away and erodes the support and the share price falls. This along with emotional sellers, day traders and algorythms creates intense downward pressure.

When the short covers they need to buy shares. Which obviously helps longs. If enough shorts are buying to cover (aka scurrying) then there is a squeeze and the price rises quick.
