There are a lot of newcomersto the infused beverage business declaring their intentions. I urge investors to beware because some that I've become aware of, announcing their intentions, have nice websites with nice looking displays of products that aren't in production. There are products on shelves in the US, manufactured by serious players, who are forced to dance with the devil in respect to the changing playing field of new and changing regulations. My research tells me that the chances of producing a winning product are less than 15% for new beverages. I do think that we will have a cinderella moment where any beverage with thc in it will have a consumer in waiting if they can get it on a shelf, but most of those will fade away as consumers move towards quality, consistency and flavour. Some States in the US have infused products on shelves but in Canada, anything in the edible/drinkable category is not legal yet and I suspect will take special licensing to even legally develop them and test them.
Tinley has a headstart on that, being a Canadian listed company that chose to launch in California and rely on the protection of the California marijuana State legislation for protection from the Feds.
There is great difficulty by law enforcement and legislators to determine the difference between CBD and THC and at the Fed level it has all been lumped together as narcotic drugs, until the farm act which still has some antiquated legalities to get CBD products on shelves, which is too bad because the pharma value of CBD and THC is increasing all the time. The downside of using marijauna and hemp products is minimal by comparison to alcohol and oxy/fentanyl, which is why those guys are lining up and waving dollars around to join forces with marijuana and hemp companies with potential.
Cott just sold their syrup production to Refresco. I thought that facility would have been a great addition for Tinley for rapid expansion but maybe that is premature given that THC can't legally cross borders, yet.
Tinley is keeping their cards close and I can't help but get the feeling that when the news comes, it will move the shareprice of the stock appreciatively. We certainly have a roster of talent that have made their bones in beverages, alcohol and advertising promotion. I don't think there are too many investors here that can't see the blue sky potential of Tinley. glta and dyodd
