So one must ponder, what has the higher probability, if South Central (where the only hub that correlates to futures sits) is above normal HDD would NY be above normal HDD, or is it a higher probability that NY (last time I looked was north of South Central Region as per EIA regions) experienced above normal HDD demand that South Central has to also.
If the only Hub that is a relative to Futures and the same place Futures are measured at, is in Lois... then why would one have a hard on for 2 day temps in NY. Does the sum of all the parts play a factor sure, but you better understand who the bride is within the sum of parts and she is not waiting for the groom in NY.
