RE:RE:$$Green$$ new deal?Thanks, that makes a lot of sense. And agreed, there are some pretty wild climate engineering ideas being floated about. CCS seems pretty benign relative to some of them (especially environmentally friendly options such as CST's tech)!

If you look at the context of the entire deal it is clearly a work in progress and doesn't claim to be otherwise. It's basically a white paper for the DNC, released to the public to gauge support and opposition and see where the presidential hopefuls line up.
Sooner than later politicians will have to choose between climate engineering and CCS as first remedial measures, I don't see how a public that can't even deal with GMO is going to accept climate engineering as the first option.
