Corp actions

Corp actionsAn ex-gf works at one of the brokerages and explained this. She says there's currently still no effective date announced on the bulletin when this is to take effect (consol/nac), but this could change by the minute. Once all the dates are established then it's the responsibility of each firm to have their corp action team facilitate them. She says each firm will do it on their own timeline as some are quicker than others. Once done, you may see weird values since either the shares or the price would be adjusted, but this would be cleared up overnight as each firm either has their own inhouse system or working off a system that more than one firm uses which does an overnight cleanup. If not cleaned up 2 days after being processed then contact your broker since the back office is probably still cleaning this up due to the odd rate. I hope this was helpful.
