Sorry Highdiver but it would take all day to list all the companies that protected themselves with the poison pill concept. The company in the article, Kite Pharma Inc., is one example, do you think Gilead would have paid $12 Billion in a buyout if they could have spent $11 billion or less in stock purchases for a hostile takeover. Get real.
