Price of Natural Gas for BNP

Price of Natural Gas for BNPThank you Oil2018 for your posted link to the Oil.com article on the price of natural gas.  In a nutshell, it says the winter is almost over, storage isn't depleted yet and shale oil growth comes with nat-gas as a by-product.  So if US shale oil production continues to grow (to the moon) then that is bad for the natural gas price.  The writer lives in Pittsburg.  Hey Edmonton, is the winter over yet?

I track Natural Gas prices every Friday close.  What I see is the US price is going down and the Canadian price is rising.  What is going on here?

NYMEX price (US$) ... AECO price (C$/GJ)

Dec-31:  3.30 ... 1.54
Jan-04:  3.03 ... 1.51
Jan-11:  3.16 ... 1.58
Jan-18:  3.42 ... 1.92
Jan-25:  3.18 ... 1.90
Feb-01:  2.73 ... 2.49
Feb-08:  2.62 ... 3.10

As long as they don't reverse the pipelines and start shipping US gas to Canada, this should help BNP in 2019.

I'm still holding, waiting for LNG projects to be built in Texas and BC.  I will hold for another 3-4 years.  I think we have seen the bottom.  But I also respect Oil2018's opinion.  There are no guarantees.
