AEM

AEMI don't like Yamana much. They seem pretty shifty with their finances, and the debt is 1.6 billion.  I did not see any mention today in the year-end of the bankruptcy situation at that metal refiner in Florida that took 6 million of the new Yamana mine's gold. Did I miss something?   Anyway one of the banks posted recently that (reading between the lines) they expected Agnico to acquire Yamana, probably because of Malartic, maybe for other projects too. Perhaps Agnico is waiting for Yamana to straighen itself out, if that will ever happen (barring of course much improved prices for metals).   I have wondered for some time why Agnico has not made a move, seeing as it could be done easily with shares (as Newmont is doing with Goldcorp). It occurred to me that possibly it is disallowed in the Malarctic partnership agreement, ie that for a period of time after acquiring that mine, or even forever, Agnico is barred from acquiring control of Yamana. Anybody have any thoughts on that? I have not seen a clause like that before, but that means nothing.
