As a point of reference, TransAlta is also going the low payout ratio, paydown debt route and its yield is now just 2.1%. TA has been at it for a bit longer but from today forward I would say ALA has the better immediate prospects. Fortis is also trading below 4%. So in my opinion, still a ways to go for the share price increase before the yield becomes low enough to act as a brake.
