RE:VistraIt is more likely that Vistra was behind the short report and short attacks that happened during 2018. Driving teh price lower gave them the opportunity to pay what they wanted to. There is still time for another offer.... but time is running out.

If the offer was not accepted, they could then sell the shares that they accquired for a very nice profit !
There would be no reason to wait for the price to go to $7.50 before starting to buy !
