Status of NEB Process on Coastal Gas LinkFor all intents and purposes the question of possible federal jurisdiction is the same for both Coastal GasLink and PRGT. The outcomes for both should be the same, whichever way it goes. But, he case of Costal GasLink is more advanced and will set the precedent.
I just read over the recent documents on the NEB website and can report that final written submissions were due last Friday. Final oral arguments are limited to a discussion of written submission materials only, and will be scheduled for next month.
Westcoast Transmission's Friday news release about the advancement of PRGT suggests that they anticipate a favorable result, in the near future, to the issue of potential federal NEB regulation. Westcoast has now seen all of the opponents evidence and seem to consider it a done deal.
Perhaps this is why some arrow heads just showed up at one of their construction sites. 50:50 these "artifacts" which were found on a site that was previously disturbed for use in logging, came out of a Cracker-Jack box and were made in China.
My opinion is that the matter amounts to little more than vexatious abuse of process by a green fanatic.
