Aphria Inc. APHA

Aphria, which is headquartered in Ontario, produces and sells medicinal and recreational cannabis. The company operates through retail and wholesale channels in Canada and internationally. Aphria is a main distributor of medical cannabis to Germany and has operations in over 10 countries outside of Canada. However, it does not have exposure to the U.S. CBD or THC markets due to the constraints of federal prohibition. It has some U.S. exposure through the acquisition of SweetWater, a craft brewer

ProfC

ProfCI was fortunate to have been contacted by ProfC over Christmas.  We have since had some wonderful discussions (well beyond just Aphria’s fate).  Sometimes you never know who lurks behind their Stockhouse facade.

We both get a good chuckle from our war of words last Fall.  However, despite our differences in opinion we remained civil...which meant the door was open for reconciliation.  We are surprisingly of more aligned views than different WRT Aphria.

Which brings me to the posts I read this morning from goldstein, now on ignore.  Sometimes I wonder why some just launch into demeaning diatribe intended to harm.  I actually had difficulties determining if any of the posts had anything to do with Aphria...just attacks on some who post here.  Not sure if the intent?

It’s Family Day.  Not only a nice break from the TSX, but an opportunity to spend with family.

Tomorrow we will jump back into the Aphria story...one I believe to be on its way to a happy ending.

I have a daughter who recently graduated from university and after 8 months of knocking on doors trying to find a career related job finally got offered a position.  I better appreciate how much harder it is for young women to compete.  I hope the MJ sector makes a concerted effort to be better proportioned from this point of view and look forward to the potential of a strong female role model (who is of course capable and trustworthy) being brought into Aphria’s B of D.
