Lotus facility capacity over 500,000 sq. ft. of productionLotus’ first facility is located on a 23-acre parcel of farmland in the agricultural community of Armstrong, BC. The facility holds capacity for over 500,000 sq. ft. of production, and is to be built in phases once active review status is achieved for that particular expansion.
The construction of the facility is currently on track, and the following has been completed up-to-date: Excavation completed Cement Footings & Foundation completed Steel building manufacturing completed HVAC approved and built Contents listed and source.
The steel building will be delivered and erected in January / February, 2018 and has a date of completion of June, 2019.
Lotus’ state of the art facility is a modern and brand new building, avoiding potential pre-existing issues. Having no major equipment in grow rooms, this permits a sterile environment and proper sanitation during and between batches.
Air within all rooms is constantly cleaned via HEPA/Carbon filtration, while relative humidity is carefully controlled by specifically engineered HVAC/AHU to ensure full GPP/GMP compliance. • The facility is designed as a flexible prototype – IP can be licensed out, with full retrofit capabilities for any potential regulatory changes.
Future compliance proof. Each facility has six separate grow rooms that turn inventory 30X per annum. All production rooms are properly sized and segregated using RFID to audit organic claims and regulate temperature/humidity alarms. This creates a fast reconciliation of records during inspections.
To ensure sanitation abilities and repeatable end product results, Lotus is utilizing the following: Uniquely designed processing equipment using specialized filtration and material capture methods, a specialized extraction process of non solvent methods (heat and pressure equipment), and an automated fertigation system.
Tiered vertical growing utilizing LED during 1st stages of growth, will help Lotus maximize sq. ft. and make production more efficient. Lotus’ facilities will incorporate meticulously chosen lighting engineered to accomplish appropriate PAR/PPFD utilizing light emitting ceramic and double ended high pressure sodium.
Each facility has exclusively designed production tables and harvesting equipment for quality assurance. The distinctively designed potting increases airflow and reduces mold growth, while the specific shelving structure aids sanitation and access.
Production at the highest possible quality is crucial, which supports Lotus’ mandate of producing the highest quality product at the lowest cost per gram. Production room designs are perfected for use, producing under ACMPR framework.
Analytical testing results and security is primary, records are taken on every batch to assist in assessing many variables. Approximately 135 standard operating procedures have been developed for thorough, consistent operation.
Engineered lighting and equipment layouts underwent constant review to ensure consistent results, through an industry state of the art design.
With a combined 55 years of various growing experience and experimentation, commercial nurseries, MMAR personal production, greenhouse and indoor cultivation, and MMAR designated growing. Lotus is like no other.
