Obvious? I do like obvious.
Not sure I agree about what is obvious, though. "MDL IS A DOG" may be a fair statement, but that's debatable.
I googled, "What is a dog stock?"
Answer: "A dog is a business unit that has a small market share in a mature industry. ... The term Dog may also refer to a stock that is a chronic underperformer and hence a drag on the performance of a portfolio." https://www.investopedia.com/terms/d/dog.asp
Chronic under-performer? Yes, sure. Small market share in a mature industry? No, no way. And the fact that it doesn't fit both definitions is telling. Why has it been a chronic underperformer? Partly because it's in a niche growth industry where growth is not even shared. Fighting for a piece of the fundamental growth is not so easy. Will they ever get there? Maybe.
In the mean time, I'd point out something else that is obvious.

And a worksheet wth the data, https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/16pCY5qa5V3FpebcPzW1sdURVP7VAE8AwTDpCCCmR6uo/edit?usp=sharing Went through and edited a bit by hand as SEDI filings can be buggy. But broad sense of things clear enough. #Bullish
