Seeking Strategic Alternatives can mean No Alternatives

Seeking Strategic Alternatives can mean No AlternativesAs a long time investor, I have seen many companies inform the marketplace that they are seeking strategic alternatives.

Unfortunately, one of the alternatives, which the company failed to mention, is that there was none available. The company could be restructured under CCAA effectively wiping the interest of the current shareholders and reissuing new shares to the new shareholders.

The company failed to explain this option in its new release. I am not being negative. I just think that investors should be fully informed.

I do think that there was an excellent trade here between .30 and .40 cents and the smart money has been taking advantage of the liquidity in this stock. Good for them.

If you are a long term investor, you are better off waiting to see if a deal can be done, then investing after the announcement. If you are speculator, then take a piece now and see how it goes. Cheers
