Here is a good place to start!!!!Take a look at Anglo American Half Year 2018 1H report. It's on their company website.
They give production reports and financial reports. You have to click on the report summary to get the expanded/detailed report. Lots of details there on DeBeers and their Canadian operations.
Remember that DeBeers is the operator. They would have the primary docs and the accounting. MPVD should be following about whatever DeBeers Canada produces for costs since they are the operator. Both companies MPVD and Anglo use IFRS accounting. Anglo reports under the DeBeers data detailed accounts for Canada, for the two mines. Victor and GK.
Try and reconcile Anglo numbers just on Cap-ex alone for 1H 2018 to what MPVD reported for the GK mine. Canada total for DeBeers vs. GK for MPVD. The Anglo Amercian numbers reported for DeBeers in Canada make the MPVD numbers reported on SEDAR look like non-sense. Period. Full stop. End of Story.
Any decent forensic accountant will have a field day investigating MPVD books, in my opinion.
Irony here is that TinyTot debunked my "swapping the diamonds" in Africa or India along the chain of custody with these Private Co's that MPVD is transacting with BEFORE the diamonds get to Bonas, he said it would be much easier IF anyone was going to steal $$$ from MPVD to just make phony expenses to the company accounts from their controlled entities.
Apparently, since our Cap-ex MPVD reported number is above DeBeers Canada reported number, and they have Victor mine in there too. The numbers would say We had extra cap-ex for things that DeBeers Canada didn't buy??
