RE:RE:Enbridge Line 3The light oil differential quoted (though it isn't really a quote) on the CME website for July has been in the double digits for months……and the numbers quoted are mostly irrelevant beyond April. Any producer working with 3rd party shippers (this is how Bonterra operates) only forecasts out a month ahead (The April diff just printed at $3.76 FWIW). Canadian E&P stocks were not priced for line 3 to be in-service on time and valuations are already extremely compressed, so an 8-12 month delay is not a big deal IMO. Furthermore, Enbridge now has a firm schedule for all remaining state and federal permits which should be what investors are focusing on. It will be interesting to see how the market reacts…..stocks/sectors don’t make tops on bad news or bottoms on good news. If the E&Ps don’t sell off on this news, it is a positive sign IMO.
