forefront then, than we seem to be now with repect to the US as a market for our tech. Wonder what happened.
American Manganese Inc. said March 2 that it entered a memorandum of understanding with Ames Laboratory, a U.S. Department of Energy national laboratory operated by Iowa State University, to develop recycling options from spent electric car batteries.
The agreement with Ames Laboratory follows American Manganese's grant from the National Research Council of Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program for the ongoing development of its spent electric vehicle battery cathode materials recycling technology.
Both American Manganese and Ames Laboratory believe that the recovery and reclamation of metals and minerals from spent lithium-ion batteries represents a significant source of critical materials, including lithium-cobalt, lithium-cobalt-nickel-manganese and lithium-manganese.
