The company announced a donation to Louisiana State University Eunice’s Respiratory Care program for 2019. The funds will be used to upgrade the testing software for the Respiratory Therapist students in the Acadiana area. In addition, the company provided the program with the latest Non-Invasive Ventilation equipment, equipped with Assisted Volume Pressure Support, to better treat respiratory insufficiency patients such as COPD & OHS. VieMed’s CEO, Casey Hoyt said, “Respiratory Therapists are the key to growing our healthcare in the home business in the right way. There will never be enough hospitals, Doctors, or Nurses to adequately address the growing number of senior citizens in our country today. We have to help our institutions change to accommodate quality healthcare delivered in the home.”
