Re: Article - CNH gives Pemex fracking approval in Mexico

Re: Article - CNH gives Pemex fracking approval in Mexico

When the following news report came out of Feb 12, 2019, I believe it was posted by Hydrocarbs,I mentioned it to management and the person I spoke to said they were surprised at this news, as Pemex does not release information.

https://www.theoilandgasyear.com/news/cnh-gives-pemex-fracking-approval-in-mexico/

A couple of you emailed me to ask about this, but I was unable to respond as the email system on the board refused to work for me and I could not reply.

When I spoke to management today about this news article and why ROE was surprised it was explained to me that ROE was not surprised that this work was approved to be done, just that it had been reported. This is not an end run by Pemex, this is part of the ROE work program on Amititlan and is to be carried out after the migration of the contract. This work has been approved by the National Hydrocarbon Commission and the permits are in place for the work and the fracking of the wells. There are similar work programs that have been approved for the other blocks and their operators as the article sets out. This information was not released by Pemex. It was the result of a reporter hearing the information from listening to the CNH hearings. The reporter never called Pemex or ROE or anyone to verify it, but it is true and is part of the future ROE work program once the contract has migrated. So it is good news to have work post migration already approved.
