Zenabis vs. 2016 Canopy GrowthOpinion rant: I remember when marijuana stocks were in their early stages. Before the hype had started, but after they had become known to people who were already day traders. Canopy was CGC and had 80,000 sq ft of growing space. It was 2016. The share price of canopy was 4$ with around 200k shares outstanding making a market cap of around 800k. Yes, that’s what zena is at now with over a MILLION sq ft of grow space for cannabis and an additional already 700k of growing space currently being used for veggies. But we only have 189mil shares out. Then one fateful day in the fall of 2016 canopies share price soared to $17, putting cannabis stocks in the news. The share price settled down to around $10. 2bil market cap at 80,000sqft. But yes, they did have Snoop Dogg on their team. Zena with its massive multi million square footage of already built and operational greenhouses and growing space will soon join the Billion dollar ranks. The question is: what will be the catalyst to get them there. Canopy has an eps of -1.80 Zenabis has an eps of +.06. Somebody said that Zenabis won’t be any good because they are just a bunch of old farmers, which has to be the dumbest comment. Old farmers is exactly what makes this company amazing. Old farmers with knowledge. Old farmers with connections. Old farmers with massive fully functional growing facilities on both sides of the country. We will be a 5 billion dollar company by 2021 no doubt about it. A $27 share price is not out of the question once we compare it to canopy. Even a 2.5bil mkt cap by 2020 or $13.50 sp is very very reasonable. But we need a catalyst to set this stock off. Now it’s time to go celebrate St.Patricks day, then trade tomorrow all hung over. Happy St.Patricks day!! May the leprechauns fill your pots with gold, and Zenabis fill your banks with cash!!!
