RE:Please help me understand the Dutch Auction. I would agree with all you have said...nicely laid out.

If you do nothing, nothing changes for you and the stock continues to trade as per usual and the overhang from the dutch auction is gone.  I am with you and doing nothing, I am in for the long term so long as mgmt continues to keep an eye on us loyal unitholders.  Things like my post yesterday where the CEO made a decision to take BAM stock over BPY is certainly an eyebrow-raiser.  I can think of lots of adjectives to describe his decision but I will keep it clean here.  :)

I assume we will see a press release early next week to let us all know what the final auction price is. 

The trading post-auction will be interesting to watch into the next set of results.
