RE:RE:RE:RE:LIONAIR crashThe pilots on the flight the day before weren't trained correctly and they had a third pilot who was trained and was able to give his full attention to "simply" turn off the system. The MCAS appears to be the root cause. It needs to be re thgought and any additional warning systems / indicators shoukd NOT be optional. Apparently Air Canada did buy the additional options and I do know their pilots did and even during the cuurrent groundings still are receiving refresher training on the MCAS. So yes I am angry when I read someone who has likely never flown a commercial aircraft blame the pilot.
On the bright side as shareholders we should be very pleased at how (again) AC Management is handling a curveball in such a proffesional and proactive way. Very positive.
