RE:RE:RE:LIONAIR crashYou are correct re the optional equipment. Re the training....The Companies can only train to the standards  that Boeing tells them to. If the Companies and pilots don't know a new / different system is installed how can they train to the standard? Even the Southwest pilots who fly over 500 737's are saying they weren't trained properly in the MCAS system. It now appears there was very poor communication from Boeing to at least some of the operators and flight crew of this new system and how to train for it's failure.

Of course the pilot should be able to perform a procedure to mitigate the effects of the malfunction but he can't be expected to if he has never been trained. 

I think we can agree that this is a long way from over for Boeing and be confident we are invested in one of the worlds best airlines and one that is very much capable of handling the issue.
