RE:Carbon Engineering - Funky Math?
It's like national defense or any mega project, it needs to cost billions before the contractor campaign contributions are big enough to ensure bipartisan government support. A compact and scaleable carbon capture system is just not going to generate the kind of ribbon cutting temporary job growth that buys politicians from all parties, worse yet if it's going to use market proven technology which kills the opportunity for "unforseen" cost escalation.
Patriotic canadians should not be investing in cost certainty or completion on schedule if we want to keep kicking the fossil fuel can down the road until the world's stranded hydrocarbon assets bubble finally implodes and major shareholders can sail away guilt free to retire on their private solar powered islands. So let's all get on the same page here and support Justin and Rachel in their selfless quest to designate our beloved oil sands too big to fail.
