Maryse Belanger's Atlantic Gold Corp. (AGB), down 12 cents to $2.21 on 2.14 million shares, has updated its reserve estimate for the Moose River Consolidated mine in Nova Scotia. The company now lists 51.95 million tonnes averaging 1.12 grams of gold per tonne across four deposits, or about 1.88 million ounces. Just under 800,000 of those ounces are at Touquoy and Beaver Dam, the first phase of mining at Moose River Consolidated. (Touquoy is currently being mined; Beaver Dam will come on stream in 2022.) The rest of the gold, nearly 1.1 million ounces spread across Fifteen Mile Creek and Cochrane Hill, are slated for mining in a second phase that would start in the early 2020s and run to about 2030.

Ms. Belanger, president and COO, says that the update marks another milestone -- Howe Street is nearly impassible for all the promotional milestones littering the way -- and she clearly plans to add some more: She says that the growing of the reserve base continues and the current tally "represents a work in progress."
