too bad.......we can't be more positive with out thoughts.... certainly challending at the current stock
...the meter will provide information real-time - minute by minute - which will be significant in knowing how quickly and how well the cell pouch works
...the staff managing the trial will know very quickly after islet insertion that this works or it does not
....it will show those managing the trial within hours and days that blood sugar has moved back to normal range and allows those begin to reduce or stop insulin injections
...I think it is significant that this trial focuses on the most fragile of diabetics... I am sure they could have initiated a trial for all type 1 diabetics and had a line-up of candidates.... instead they have chosen to treat the people most at risk
...if you are not diabetic...remember.... this is called the silent killer.... it destroys the body slowly as the insulin is only a temporary adjustment to blood sugar....but does not keep it in normal range.
...if this works for those brittle diabetics...it is proven to work for all diabetic... remove the insulin component... place them all back in normal blood sugar range on a constant basis... and give them all QOL.... I do not see anything better on the horizon.
....i see Viacyte has begun a clinical trial in Europe.... apparently because they are no longer trusted in Canada and the US.... rumour has it.... to bad J&J did not provide that investment to Sernova.... and the person that placed a market cap on this company is making false statements..... because Viacyte is a private company so the market cap is unknown,,,, or they are an insider spreading information that is not public.
....let me know when I can call someone and get a Cell Pouch installed and get my QOL back...oh.... and give me a heads up.... cuz I know it is going to be a much bigger line up than we have in the clinics for current health today :O)
