You need to read what I said.  I said the shorters are not covering.

In those short volumes you posted, there is both selling and covering.  They are short realted volume - not just covering.  The last couple of days we were near our 52 week high.  No shorter will hold a short position for 6 or more months.  It just costs too much.  Those recent volumes are short selling.  Shorters make more money when they get a higher price for their shares, so yes, when they are selling they eventually stand to make more money when the SP goes up.  This increase their potential spread.

Your not seeing this means you know nothing about shorting.
