The bullion banks may have a small store of physical pallladium combined with unallocated future contracts to perform a short raid on the LBMA and Comex. The banks are very aware that technical traders look at 20 and 50 day moving averages. The spot price went right through
the 20 and 50 day moving averages.

Typically in gold and silver futures this is the time that hedge funds go short. and the bullion banks cover their short positions.
