Over 3 million man hours at K-K since January 2018

Over 3 million man hours at K-K since January 2018That’s over 375,000 eight hour man days. That is an unbelievably torrid pace of development. The Company is going flat out to get this into production. Found this tidbit while looking through today’s news release under a discussion of lost time injuries. The NR states that in 2018, the Company surpassed the 10, 11, and 12 million mark without injury. Recently they surpassed the 13 million man hour mark. This means since the beginning of 2018 at least 3 million man hours of work have been performed at Kakula-Kamoa. It’s also incredible they’ve done more than 13 million man hours of work without a single injury at a minesite. Worker health and safety is clearly a top priority. That reflects well on the professionalism of the operation when management has that kind of concern for their workers. For us it might feel like sitting around waiting for paint to dry. The reality is an explosion of activity, with a project advancing in leaps and bounds.
