RE:RE:RE:Shareholders expect a better priceI won't give away my shares for 26.00 either but a lot a small investors could. And I don't see who else than Noverco could make a competing offer? Any ideas?

Those currently accumulating above bid (~26.15) must expect an improved bid because it's not much return 0.15$ ( or 0.45$ ) for a 6 months wait. For me the 26 bid is just a 10% pop over recent trading price. No one was in rush to buy, but neither to sell prior. As realization is coming that interest rates short and long are going back down, the price was bound to rise. If it was better known to the investing public, it may have risen to a 4% yield/30$ share given its predictability/quality. But it has remained low profile, likely because of the quebec focus and the small public float.
Anyway, give me 28.50, i.e. another 10%, for a total 20% premium and we have a deal. The first 10% is all gone in tax because its cash-only...
The taxable gain is a bummer. It would be an improvment if the closing occured on Jan 1st 2020 so that some capital gain tax planning and postponing was possible.
I can see why the controlling shareholders want to buy the minorities, but the current offer is not good enough. Nothing to loose by voting against it.
