I appreciate your frank analysis... tell me, what do you thik the stock price will do then? Under a worst case scenario. I have been waiting for a "bottom" but I have found in investing that that is a false bottom. There may be no bottom. One has to look at the numbers with a critical eye. So I did. I have grown more discerning here in investing as time goes on. One of the things I have come to realize is that companies that make it have a good healthy margin. If that is not good, then management has no control. The other thing I looked at was the price of Copper. The margin varies positive and negative but I wold have thought that it would stabilize. Third quarter last year was 428 Million Revenue, 328 COGS. Last quarter was 345 Revenue 461 COGS. Can anyone explain that?? and the price of Copper is rising, although it is not as high as it was when KAT was at 1.50. THen it was 3.30. It went to a low of 2.60 and now it is at 2.88. So just based on the numbers... I don't agree with your statement that KAT is structurally unable to make money.. although there is no way of telling because the numbers are all over the place. The only explanation then, is that KAT is not intended to make money with Copper, but is more of a Cobalt play. So Glencore has been pouring money into it in the hope of making it back on Cobalt. If that is the case, then perhaps something may happen. And the price of Cobalt has gone from $40 to $15. I have always thought of KAT as a Copper mine with Cobalt as a by-product. That is my guess but it is hard to tell of they are structurally profitable because the structure is now being created... Thoughts??
