You're double counting. Morguard owns 71% TPH, Armoyan owns another 10%. Armoyan, through CKI, is also the biggest shareholder in HLR.

From a TPH shareholder perspective this means two things:
  • two smart, experienced hotel investors just confirmed that TPH is good value at $1.75
  • With three companies involved, all with hotels in Canada, it seems there is potential for a business combination. Presumably MRC the biggest would be buying out TPH, the smallest, and likely HLR too.
