Virtually every B shareholder shares your pain with respect to the value destruction caused by the incompetence and malfeasance of the Voting Trust. They inherited a once great organization and have done nothing but destroy confidence in the future of this important enterprise. They only are accountable to themselves and don't have the foggiest notion of good governance or how to create shareholder value.
We will find out in time where Prem Watsa stands with respect to his investment in Torstar. It is always darkest before the dawn and things can't get much darker. When the realization finally sinks in that they have continued to bet on the wrong horses the Voting Trust will hand the keys over to Fairfax. Impossible to predict the timing, but when the dividends are threatened they will pick up their pitchforks and tiki torches and show Honderich the door. That's when the long-suffering will finally be rewarded.
