RE:On another note, why was earnings released on a Monday?Daredevil1964 wrote: Knowing that you do not meet expectations, and I am sure they knew. It would of been better to release these earnings as originally set. April 11. Releasing an ER on a Monday here everybody is fresh for the week and paying attention. The markets are focused on Monday morning. If a poor ER is released on a Thursday or Friday, one has the same net effect for 2 days not possibly the whole week. Something over the weekend could distract the news cycle and a weak ER can be hidden or disguised by another piece of news. Also Aphria should of ammended their guidance to warn of an earnings short fall. Aurora did that. It gives us the choice to jump ship due to the weak ER. Aphria, in my opinion is still little league T ball team playing in the majors. This is not a bash, an earnings report warning is done all the time. Aphria needs to think more about the share holders that are retail, only 10 percent is institutional ownership. Everyone best to you all.
Agreed 100% with you, its now a double edged sword, they rather say nothing and hope to beat expectations that analysts project with their crystal ball, I bet you they just take CC pharma 2018 performance and divide it by 4 and now add it up to the 2019 500M guidance divided by 4 unless the 500M guidance include (CC Pharma). That's just an example of how analyst really come up wtih crystal ball numbers! At least we know that future Q costs will go down and revenues will go up
