Consolidation, a trading halt, other material annoucements, etc. could occur and (presumably) increase the share price. After all, why would anyone who just paid that price immediately return on on the market to sell them -- other than at a higher price to make a significant profit.

Always keep in mind what the big players (institutional holders) are doing and/or anticipating, and make your move accordingly.
