Aphria Inc. APHA

Aphria, which is headquartered in Ontario, produces and sells medicinal and recreational cannabis. The company operates through retail and wholesale channels in Canada and internationally. Aphria is a main distributor of medical cannabis to Germany and has operations in over 10 countries outside of Canada. However, it does not have exposure to the U.S. CBD or THC markets due to the constraints of federal prohibition. It has some U.S. exposure through the acquisition of SweetWater, a craft brewer

RE:RE:CIBC Raises Target Price

RE:RE:CIBC Raises Target PriceI was a commercial banker for many years and a credit analyst in Head Office of a Canadian bank.  When I first heard the results early yesterday morning I was concerned but then when I saw the text of the conference call I was very encouraged.  Almost every question that came to my mind was asked by the analysts and answered by Irwin..  Aprhia will do well for the longs.  Maybe day traders will take their money elsewhere for the next 3-6 months but they will be back.  My greatest concern was cash.  Irwin stated they had enough for CAPEX and on going activities.  Supplying the market with quality products while keeping costs down will be a challenge but one I think they can respond to successfully.  Provided there are no further delays I believe shareholders will be handsomely rewarded in 2020 and beyond for there patience.  Of course their competitors are not standing still but Aphria seems to be on target to becoming one of Canada's and the world's largest LPs. The next CEO and Board will be critical to ensuring that comes to fruition.
