RE:RE:RE:h2sI don't think we can draw any concrete conclusions from elevated H2S levels.
It looks like the BJP article used a similar method for measuring H2S as the JAHA indicating it was measuring Free-H2S. Sig diferences in the values between the two articles BJP had 30-40nM while JAHA had 300-500 nM were observed.
In addition looking at Discussion Paragraph II/III of the JAHA article, authors explicitly state H2S has a role in both pathogenesis and attenuation of vascular remodelling consequences. Further, H2S increase could be a compensatory mechansims of endothelial dsyfunction and NO bioavailablity. Alternatively, elevated H2S could play a pathogenic role in vascular dysfunction.
