RE:Zinc treatment charges

RE:Zinc treatment charges
Heres's a good explanation of Zn smelting someone else posted:

https://www.nyrstar.com/~/media/Files/N/Nyrstar/results-reports-and-presentations/english/2009/zincleadsmelting.pdf

As I understand it the hike is $40 a tonne in treatmemt charge increases which should work out to slightly less than .04 cents a share in increased costs. Not wonderful, but not catastrophic either. Given the volitility in Zn prices over the last 30 days you could easily see that 4 cents being made up for, its also possible, but less likley in my view that TV could surprise and make up for the 4 cents  with operating effiencies. May 6th should be telling.

Unfortunately the market seems to have a wait and see attitude with respect to the new CEO. Right now coming from Vale maybe doesn't have the cache it might have had at one time.

With Zn prices moving down and no clear rise in demand on the horizon we are reduced to hoping that TV improves opertionally. Based on their previous missteps this isn't a great place to be.
