If I missed it, I apologizeCanadian growers and beverage makers are forming an alliance to level the playing field for the inevitability imho of adult inspired beverages carrying liquor related names.
Our government is over-doing the rules and regulations to prepare for the launch of edibles and drinkables. The industry is going to have to move very carefully with high dosage products and negative experiences of first timers to beverages and edibles. I can see the method to their madness in regards to consumers mistaking a thc beverage for an alcohol one if it is described as something familiar and protecting the kids from mistaking Mom's gummy bears for theirs is a real concern.
I made points with Tinley on the strength of their offerings after viewing some of the early efforts and particularly noticed that Dixie had a beautiful looking beverage that, to me, looked like a perfect single serve, with 100 or 150 mg of thc. I tried a pb cup edible that claimed 50mg of thc and was wise enough and knowledgable enough about edibles to only do a quarter of it, that set me in my seat for a day. Overly experienced dopers are vying for more mgs of thc for economy and their ability to handle it, but newcomers is a different story.
I think it is inevitable that we will have beers and wines with thc sans alcohol and caffeine??? which I guess might put newbies over the edge and I'm very happy to see that Tinley is still dancing with the devil that is regulators and forged ahead with Stone Daisy and High Horse. Cinnamon cask and Almond cask are a circumvent and shows our management's ability to keep pushing this forward.
There is still a lot of thc experience out there from the 60's and 70's that will be consumers again with legality but keep in mind that the weed today isn't the weed of yesteryear. Yesteryear might be a good name for a product for the over 50 club.
I'm still waiting for a pink or red single serve to round out our image.
I would love to hear from some Californians as to when and where they can buy our products. Keep us posted. glta and dyodd
